How would you play a medium to large pair before the flop? Would a person lead out with a big or little bet or just all?

This is not a yes or no answer because so many things enter into a decision -
Position
Table Image
Type of players at the table
Size of stack
Size of the blinds
ITM or close to it
In this section of the forum there are some terrific articles that look at position, odds and more
For those that play ATC they are missing the finer points of poker.. poker is really a game of skill and not of chance

As witchy has pointed out in a different manner, poker is a very situational game. Another factor that can impact your decision is the action prior to your turn. In some highly unusual circumstances, it can even be mathematically correct to fold AA.
