Talk about bad beats...
« on: July 16, 2006, 10:07:45 AM »
I'm still a new player to Texas Holdem. Your delt KK or some other high pair and someone goes all in. I've called it alot and everytime it seems it's someone holding a 3 - 7 off suite and they still end up with a stright as if they knew what was going to fall. How do you old timers handle this kind of hand, Do you call an all-in before the folp holding a high pair or do you fold??

Good cards in your hand, play them as you would normally and if some idiot plays 7-3os(AND IT HAPPENS) and wins, accept the results and get on with life.  BUT A LITTLE SCREAMING AND SHOUTING DOESN'T HURT!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. as long as it is done at home

I would call them... u cant fold a big pocket pair.... but if u have a mid pair like 10's-6's and theres already two people all in before u, i would definitely think strongly about folding.
