why do players call with AK after the flop when they get no piece of it??  is it too pretty a hand??

Some players just don't know when to fold, they case all the time and rely more on luck than skill. You just need to know your other players at the table, whether to fold or not.

Most of the time it's a good call, depending on bet amount and how the table is going generally.  However, AK definitely not an automatic winnier, as most players may think or try to force a win.

Yeah like me, usually make a high net on the pre flop with an AK, and then end up with nothing.

People chase to the river,most of the time a A or K will show up.I've come across so many players that are willing to put their whole stack just to fish them cards.half of the time they would hit it.

yea they donks i see players call like $5-6 bets with ak and the board like 10 6 3 j 2 lol

yes i think so because it looks good but its nothing people will call until the river if its cheap and because they think its the best hand pre flop and it gets in your head that you have the best hand but you dont
