I documented some of my poker struggles in my last blog. So instead of taking a break from poker i just switched sites. For 2 yrs i played on
Bodog, its where i honed my skills at the table and became a pretty solid player. Te bad run of cards i got there was getting unbearable so I switched to Full Tilt. I used to win on
Bodog, regularly turning 20$ into 60 at the cash games i played and winning 5 moderate buyin tourneys, dominating sit and gos with frequency. Once the run of bad cards got to around 6 months long i decided to do something about it so one of my buddies recomended Full Tilt and i joined. So far I have entered 6 tourneys winning 3, still struggling at the cash games though. So maybe the change of scenery was what I needed.
Anyone else have to have a change of scenery to "fix" their game? Im just a normal guy with a limited bankroll so usually I just play in 12$ or less buy ins and .25/.50 cashgames.
