Short version of this hand.
We are about midway of a $500 freeroll at Bodog, average stack about 8,000
I have 16,000 my opponent has about 12,000
I got A 4 of Hearts I bet 1500 he calls.
Flop:   Ac Jh 6h
I bet 2500 he goes allin and I call
He shows As Kc
The turn is no help to either of us.
The river is a 4 of something but anyway I catch my second pair on the river.
He starts screaming about, how that I am a "terrible player" and calls me all kinds of animal names. Says I don't understand the game and I should look at the cards and see that I can't beat anything then fold because he went all in. I think he should have folded to the 2500 bet, Hell I could have had AJ just as easy as a flush draw and at that point all he had was a pair of As, just like me, except of course I have 9 outs just on the flush. This guy chases me to the next table still continuing with this mouth assault.

Well he got his wish I was put out in 82nd place in a field of 3404. After 2-1/2hours of play (the payout started at 63 that sucked)

He says it was a DONK move to call his Allin and I say it was just a bet that paid off. What do you say????

I don't thimk it makes me a superior player or smarter than anybody, it was just a "bet" and I won. Why do some guys go nuts when they lose! If you can't afford to lose the chips don't push'em in the pot.

This is a reply from another place I posted, seems like good advice to share.

3. Pre-flop, pot is 3,000. You bet 2,500 and he comes OTT for the rest of his stack (10.5K). There's 16K in the pot and you need to call 8K more. You have 12 outs (nine hearts and three 4s). I make that 44% chance of winning, for a call that is 50% of the pot. Mathematically, its a slightly poor call. Just slightly, nothing horrible.

4. That's where your knowledge of your opponent comes in. Would he have bet like he did on the flop without the goods? Would he try to blow you off the pot like that holding KK or QQ? These things always factor into the decision to push in the chips.

Nice Hand - well-played! [/COLOR]
I 100% agree that he should have raised pre-flop I would have folded. After the flop I would call anything with the pair of As and a chance at an A high flush. Mostly because I am not experienced enough to do the math you did in option 3 so, him thinking I had "enough sense to fold" was his mistake. I did not respond to him until he followed me to the next table as a railbird. Then I said "Why don't you go count your chips.......it should not take long and I am sure you can count to "0".

Anyway thanks for your opinion and I hope I get better at this game and understanding all the aspects and odds and stuff but, I never want to become so mathmatical that I will stop betting. Thats the thrill and why we play right?

Nothing really wrong with your play in that hand. When you bet 1500 If I had AK I would have reraised.
