I am annoyed that they didnt bother to tell us this part, but can understand why they are doing it...

This is taken directly from admin posting on the G2G own forum yesterday

Please note.

We have a min deposit of $25.00 to be able to withdrawal. Players in which we comped out of our pockets from the old site must also play at least 300 raked hands before being able to withdrawal the first time.

Support

when I mailed them to ask how they we could monitor our raked hands ( as they use comp points which are different) I received this back from them.

Hello,

WE keep track of play daily. Once we feel players are not taking advantage
of us we up your level to vip 1 at that point you will see withdrawal
options in your cashier. We have caught so many players already before and
after cheating us when we were nice enough to pay them so we are just
protecting ourselves.

thanks
G2G

I was told they were doing it so players that were told to just run in and withdraw can't. It was a decission they made after emails were sent out telling players to take the money and run.

I know why and fully understand their reasoning behind it, however it would have been nice if they had sent a mail out to all the players to let them know this was the case.

I am sure that all those that had been given the money from them would have understood this and started to play the ring games sooner thus generating income sooner.

If you dont give people the full picture they start to get jittery and thinking the worst.

Not all understand it.

You will see posts all over about how they can not withdraw.

Some players think G2G poker had all the players money in their bank accounts. This is not what happens when you are a poker site using a networks software. The network has all the funds.

Some will continue to bash G2G saying it was the players money why can they not just take it out.

Well if you did deposit at G2G and never played a network guar. tournament or sat at a ring table where other sites on the network had players sitting I would say you should be able to. Most players did play guar. tournaments and did sit at ring tables. If those players did win cash from a player on the Big Juicy Stakes Odds skin on that network, do you think G2G should have to pay out those funds also? After all those winnings did not come from G2G's depositing players. G2G was nice enough to move and comp most of the players funds. Why Comp and not transfer your money? G2G did not have your money DGS the network did.

Why did I say most players got their funds?

Should the players that tried to dump the funds they had on other sites on the network get paid. Several players tried to move the money they had on other network sites once that G2G reported they were moving to merge thinking they could get all the money. I saw several players right after they reported to be moving playing heads up games with names like XXXXX and XXXXX1.

Others that will report they are not getting paid are the ones that went to every forum they could and posted players will not get paid by G2G and if you do withdraw it once you get it and uninstall the site. Several forums told players to do this also and that is why they are making players play before they can withdraw.  Several players have already been caught trying to move thier G2G money to other merge sites like Carbon poker. This is being watched close and if you get caught any account you have on the merge network will be closed and you will lose all funds on the network.

All I can say is that G2G had my money in my account as soon as I asked about it.  Good service there.

G2G is one of the 3 sites that have done anything. From the way I understand it Big Juicy Stakes odds is telling the poker players they can transfer their funds to the sports book part of the site, but you can still download the DGS software from the site. If Big Juicy Stakes Odds had any class they would remove the link to download the software.

Its funny how some sites still bash G2G and they are the first site on DGS to do anything.

IMO - one of those sites is responsible for the requirements G2G has put in place for cashout of the funds the G2G gave the players in their Merge/G2G account. They told their members to cashout and not play the money.. a thinly veiled attempt to cause G2G and Merge cashflow problems.

No biggie for me.. I'm a depositing player and with the great deposit bonus I can clear the money G2G gave me plus clear the bonus money. Almost like a second gift :)

Nightmoves, is fine and I respect your decision. I am only trying to report the facts. Some reports about G2G have not been true.

Did they list the were licensed? yes Should they have listed the software they use is licensed instead of the wording they had? YES.

Should a forum owner tell players to run and get their cash or dump your G2G funds to another player you know on a different merge skin? NO.

Members here have a brain and can make an informed decision on their own I think.

It took 3 weeks, but I'm pleased to report that I did receive my first cashout from G2G.  There were several glitches in the cashier software modules that apparently didn't hook up just right initially with the Merge cashier system.  The G2G support folks told me that the new G2G software is customized to a greater degree than the other Merge skins.  And while this has been something of a headache in the beginning, once the cashier software is completely debugged and fully customized, it will produce some beneficial enhancements. In the next week or so, players should be able to utilize additional payment processors, including Epassporte, for deposit and withdrawal.

And I really have no problem with the additional stipulations of 300 raked hands and $25 deposit that G2G required for their migrated and comped players.  While I certainly would not have thrown good money after bad into either a new and unproven network cashier or an existing system of dubious integrity, I considered the modest deposit to be a leap of faith into a reliable system with which I have previously experienced little difficulty.  No minimum rake was imposed, and 300 hands can be accumulated easily in about 5 hours on the NL10 tables.  There is no raked hand counter though, so it is up to the individual player to keep track of raked hands.  I did so simply by referencing hand history logs and counting pots of $.95 or greater.

Unfortunately, I haven't received any of the new player and first depositer perks that are advertised on the promotions page, but I'm really happy just to be able to access my meager bankroll that has been stagnant for the past 3 months.  I did send in a request to have some of the newbie perks adjusted manually though, so maybe I'll get them eventually.

pooterguy - very glad to hear some good news :)

As to the new depositor perks... I've been very disappointed with all the Merge skins... you only get one for the entire network :(

5 hours at the cash tables... not bad since you were also clearing the deposit bonus

Well i did what G2G asked. Deposited $25 and have played minimum 3,000 comp pts but at 5,000 comp. pts now collecting bonuses. The comp points get you into special 1k or 2k free rolls as well. I received a $10 deposit bonus for my 1st 2500 comp points. I,m very close to my 2nd $10 bonus. And i have cashed out $100 from my G2G account. The 10ct/25ct nl tables are many but if the waiting lists get long they just open more tables. You get 3 comp pts per hand dealt at this level whether you play the hand or not. There,s always plenty of action anytime mostly playing from poker.com. They upgraded my Status to VIP at G2G which allows withdrawals. My withdrawal was in my moneybookers account in less than 24 hrs. See below a copy ......
