OK so I know............not exactly a bad beat :P .......but when your playing a tournament you don't exactly wanna see your AA 8O  up against another AA ...............I wasn't amused :twisted:  :P :P

So I take it you two split the pot, right?
Now if ya look at this in a different way, it's not so bad.
He could of gotten a diamond on the turn and river and made a flush, you would of lost it all to him then.  I know how ya feel and it does suck, but at least a split is better than a loss, right?

yea its better to split than get callled with poc 5's and opponet 5's the river (happened to me)

I was in a game were a tight player vs. Loose player both
got AA  and the loose player end up hittin a flush.

I had that happen to me a couple of times in tournaments, luckily there wasn't someone else in there with a weak king, becaouse they would of probably won.

If there were an unlikely pair of Kings against the two pairs of Aces, you probably would have gotten an all in call and you both would have lost, so it could have been worse.  It is a letdown though, when you see that other pair of Aces come up

I guess you could or should say it's a fifty-fifty proposition.  Most of the time this will be a split pot except maybe with a flush winning it.

yep,  runner runner diamond coulda happened and then the only thing you'd be splitting is from the table.  (well maybe not that drastic--just checked and you have at least 2k left.  but coulda been mighty depresssing.
