Playing against alliners
« on: May 10, 2009, 06:08:45 AM »
This is strictly my own opinion about the all in play. It is very understandable that some hands and at some point during the game a player should go all in with what they have. Now to sit at the same table and watch someone going all in 75% of the time is just plain ridiculous. There is no skill involved playing that way. I will not waste my time playing on the  same table with a fool like this. I will go all in and hope to win but if not so be it, I won't have to put up with it any longer. Free rolls is one thing but buy ins are a little different I will put up with it a little bit longer. I play this game just for fun not to make money at, so it is more important to me to have played a enjoyable game with good players that I have met over the years than IDIOT's. Again my opinion if you would like to comment please do. We need some new threads here to help rebuild this great forum.  Thanks all that knows how to play.

 :) I must say , I agree with you!
It is very annoying.
And I handle it basically the same way.
It is just not fun sitting at a table where this is happening.
Always nice to play at a table with you, mawsrat!
Take care!!

I agree too would love to be able to reach through the monitor and smack them.  They ruin the game for everyone.

i think its awesome when you have a player doing that

you have a double up just waiting to happen

sit back and wait for any card A-K-Q and then call his all in

q2 k5 a3

all good hands against that alliner

I hate those guys too.  I just sit there and fold (in MTT) until somebody puts him out.  It only takes one person to win a majority of his chips and then he's going to lose the rest of them pretty quick.  I actually try not to play against him because he has gotten lucky a lot of times.  That's why he plays that way.  It makes for a "not so fun" game.  That's also one of the main reasons I like to play in forum games.  Usually the skill of play is much better. :-*

it's like that in the bounty tournies too.  i've learned not to call them but i will go all in myself either short stacked or with a good hand.
