bad beat
« on: June 11, 2009, 03:33:19 PM »
last week i lost almost my entire bankroll at PokerStars because of people calling all in with terrible hands and river ratting me over and over.  my problem isnt that it happened but that it happened for three days straight resulting in the loss of most of my bankroll.  i understand that low buy-ins sometimes attract the type to go all in on anything, but do i really have to buy-in to higher games just to get away from this?  on a side note how much do you think i will have to buy-in for to stop this evil phenomenon...?

It's true, the micro/low buy-in games are mostly played just as badly as freerolls and by just as poor players.  It has been suggested to me that ten dollars and up is a good barometer for decent to good play at cash tables.  I do have some experience with multi-table live and online tournaments.  I find it best to play in tourneys that buyin for one-hundred dollars plus.  Guaranteed, you will get fine play at this level.  Hope this helps and you get more advice from other forum members.

When your running into troubles for couple of days str8.It's always good to take a breather and regain yourself instead of just letting the bad runs take over.
I mean, nothing you can do about players calling you with bad cards.Trying other things would probably clear your mind off the bad runs.Try SnG,MTT's perhaps.

What i do when i start to lose.Just a suggestion...
