Re-buy Tourney's
« on: May 07, 2008, 10:07:32 AM »
Alot of people are talking about these tournies and say they are not very good because no one cares and just push all the time. I like these tournys because i play the small buy ins no more than 3$. I never rebuy or add on so my investment is the least it can be. Just take advantage of the donks hope your first big hand holds up and then from ther your well on your way and can play smart. My best finish was right before Xmas this year in the 30,000 grand guarantee @ PokerStars. I finished 5th and ther was 3900 players 3000 rebuys and about 1200 add ons after the break. As long as you dont get caught in the trap of rebuying on tilt, you can make some great cash.

If you survive the first round when almost everybody goes all-in then then you have a good  chance!

Yeah that is the only reason they stink but just play good cards and don't be afraid to fold good hands. I took 19th a the 3.30 70,000 guaranteed at PokerStars I won a couple hundred for 6.60.

As long as you practice bank roll management and keep the bank roll growing!  That's my target all the gripping is just fine by me.  Let people vent, beware they may be setting you up for a fall.

Hard to you or any one the best strategy since in allot of buy ins with re-buys there does not seam to be a natural flow to the game!  Just try to sit back, enjoy and win.

i used to avoid them.  now i will occasionally play the small ones.  i also will usually not rebuy or add on.  but i did once rebuy in a $1 tourny and i went on to win it.

i usually play low buy in rebuy tournament (5$ or less) i dont use add on but sometimes i use rebuy in poker 770 1200 guaranteed with rebuy the final prize pool was 1600$ !!!
i finish to win the tourney and cash more than 300$!!!
