CHEATING ON-LINE IN POKER
« on: October 23, 2005, 09:05:44 AM »
Cheating at Online Poker!  Have you seen this ad online?

This is being sold as “No Rules Poker” on the internet.
It has a beautifully written ad which stopped me in my tracks when I read it.  It told how I could see my opponents cards, just as I see my cards on the screen.  What a deal that is.  I will be able to know what my opponents hole cards are!  I read the ad again (it was quite long).  I’ve been around too long to believe what the ad said, and moved on.

A few days later I came across a forum post of a customer of the above ad.  He was so angry he posted the whole damn package for anyone’s viewing.  And boy, did I laugh.

I read it in less than an hour.  It is such bullsh**.  Let me give you a summary of it's contents:
Part one: pertains to "collusion".  Nothing I didn't know already.  The author is  talking about you and your buddy playing the same SNG and are on the phone telling each other their hole cards.
Part two included some info on a Poker bot that you can buy somewhere else.  I have no idea if that idea is realistic.  I did go to the site and read another well written, and long, ad on poker-bots.  A poker bot is a program that will allow a “robot” to play, and win, without you being there.  Hmmmmm!.
Part three was some 1st class real bullsh** regarding "linguistics".  He gives examples of using the chat to influence what your opponent does.  Totally bogus.
Part Three: pertains to installing a program, and get it onto your opponents computer.  You have to, at the minimum get his password, user name, ISP, etc.; and I'm not sure if the rest of the computer oriented stuff would work if you could even get that info.

He gives a money back guarantee.  I can't see anyone being happy or finding this useful.
What an entrepreneur the author is though.  He's written an advertisement that grabs people's attention.  I'm sure he's made a bundle of money.
I'm glad I didn't buy.  I would have been requesting my money back.  How long do you think I would have to wait?????
I'm embarrassed that I gave this ad the attention I did.
I’d like to hear from others on their thoughts/interaction/experiences regarding the above product.

I heard about that same program in another forum, same deal as you state here. It is and awalys be a gimmick!

Here is a little twist for ya....

Say you CAN see your opponents cards, you have Q7 off, and you can look around and see 8 other hands... what good will it do you to know that half the hands out there are BETTER than yours?? You would normally fold this hand anyway... the only time it would help to see their cards is after the flop... which by then it might be to late and not matter that you know they called your preflop raise of 8x the blinds with a 78 suited and the flop hit 6,9, 10, of the same suit..... you still have to lay down your hand when they bet even if you couldnt see their cards.

Now if they could write a program that would allow you to see all of the opponent cards AND the table cards before you placed an initial bet...... I will be first in line

Nah.. not really, what fun would that be?? I would buy it.... make my first MILLION... then delete it or pass it on

I looked up the infomation you posted on. This has got to be one of the stupidest things I have every heard of. It took only a couple of minutes to see what a bunch of crap it is.

First off the screen shot players are sitting at a 10/20 table top picture is before using the cheat. It shows 2 calls and blinds have folded. Why then is there only $25 dollars at the table $24 in the pot $1 in rake? There would at least have to be $35 blinds wouls have been sm $5 and BB $10 plus to calls. The chat has mcd listed as checking it must make the blinds move an extra spot since he is 3 chairs away from the dealer chip. It also has 3 playes in waiting list, but the empty seat is not reserved.

Second off he can cheat that good so he tells ever poker site he has found a way to do this. It states you can make $25,000 a month using this. So he takes a chance that the poker sites find a way to stop him so he can sell a book for $59.95.

You know, I feel that cheating is more rare online than people make it seem.

I saw this ad  on a poker forum and dropped the forum.  If  the owners of a forum allow  ads for cheating at poker  on their site why should I trust them.

What I do not understand is why no of the poker sites have complained to the police.  The guy who says he lives in Toronto is advocating a form of theft. This is aiding and abetting a criminal offense.

I try to avoid overt collusion - the best example is the Hungarian group from Budapest playing the European sites.

See opponents' cards scam
« Reply #8 on: November 11, 2005, 02:27:23 PM »
It doesn't even work.
You need to their programmed malware installed to your opponents' computers so it will send you the data. Easy? Likely? Legal? Updates?

It is just a scam. It might work if you installed it to your friend's computer. Wanna scam your friends, spouse, co-workers?
It MIGHT work for that, nothing is guaranted if you read the small print.
You also MIGHT get jailed for doing that...

You are going to see the same ad many times with different names and different web address (I have seen couple). Some text and image changes might follow.

Photo analysis critic
« Reply #9 on: November 11, 2005, 02:40:36 PM »
I would like to nitpick a bit your photo analysis
Please don't get mad.  8)

The money is possible this way:
lisalisa27 called: $10
Hornet007 was SB and folded: $5
mcd1135 was BB and check: $10
Total $25
ctheriver69 is sitting out and misses the blind.

Empty seat:
Seat can be empty if waiting list player hasn't clicked 'Take the seat' button yet. He can have timer running for some time.

Cards in 1,2 and button:
Cards are dealt to players before they decide if they fold.  :P
The program shows which card they folded before flop.

But my nitpicking fails here:
Why ctheriver69's cards are shown if he just came to table or is sitting out?
I am not sure about this. Does Party Poker's shuffler deal cards to sitting out players? Sounds strange.
