I'm going for a quick 2 nighter to Vegas on Dec. 12; anybody else going to the mecca to play some Poker or any other game of skill/chance?

Sounds like fun. i have never been to las vegas yet but definitely will one of these days.  be sure to update us on what u played and how u did.  i am always interested in las vegas stories.  good luck out there!

Have been to Vegas a dozen times.... I had an advantage, my father and brother both lived there for a long time  

Lately I go to Tunica MS... it is a lot more convienient now. Love the Horseshoe down there though

Played in only one poker tourny; the 11:00 $40 Freezeout at Alladin.

Very nice poker room, just a bit of distance from the Starbucks. 100 entrants, 1500 in chips to start, top 10 paid I believe ( can u tell I didn't make the final table ).

After folding every hand but one, found pocket 10's in the hole; raised 2 X BB of $100 get called by 1 other guy. Flop comes 9,5,2 rainbow I bet my remaining $1000 and he calls me; he's showing AA; holy $#$#@ batman, no raise pre-flop holding rockets. Oh well, an A comes on the turn and I'm done. I had fun while it lasted, lost my Vegas poker virginity ; . Made it somewhat comforting that I won $80 just prior to the tourny playing BJ, so
it was a freeroll.
