Some forums have the rule to increase their sites traffic. It helps in your sites stats. I could care less about he traffic ranking. I am here for the players and enjoy playing with them. Just like some forums advertise a lot of freerolls; my job is trying to bring cash players to a site, not just a bunch of freerollers that never deposit. I am proud that on most the sites we use, my download to deposit ratio is 25% or higher. Most affiliates are happy to stay around 10%.
I also put all my profits right back into the site; either by rewarding players that do download from me or by setting up events at some of the poker sites we use and paying the prize money out of my own pockets. Poker sites do offer me several events a month once in awhile if I kick in the funds. It shows the hosting sites that I am willing to invest my earnings back into their site.
