Not a win, but a great showing

Well I played in the $50k at Nordic today... I was playing a very strategic game and doing pretty good... then I ran into about 100 hands of rag cards that I couldnt even bluff with...  there were 12,000 players registered and I came in 235th. Had to be in top 130 to get paid

Not too shabby for 12k players! I am going to try one of the Nordic'as this weekend if I can. Are these huge freerolls any crazier than the smaller ones? Also how long were you in there to get that far? I have noticed that a lot of the larger (1 - 2k players) have a lot of folks going out early (like hundreds in the first 15 minutes).
