I finally arrived at the holy grail of every online poker player's quest. No, I don't have a decoder that tells me all the freerolls passwords! I finally monied in a tourney. Actually a couple. I finally got enough points within 24 hours to enter Poker4ever's $1000 freeroll. I ended up placing 9th in that tourney and banked $20 for my efforts. The funny/tragic piece of the story is that I was playing on my laptop in my car. No, I was not driving at the time. So the tourney gets down to about ~ 15 players and then IT happens. All of you laptoppers know what I am talking about. The dreaded "Low battery" warning comes on. I smirk and reach into my laptop bag to get my car charger.....no charger. I sit and continue to play and curse while the battery quickly continues to discharge.
Of course everyone is familiar with the laptop car battery charger/freeroll tourney speed of player law or Mike's poker law 15. As the battery charge decreases the time a player waits to act increases.
Anyway it drains away with me in 11th place. By the time I can get to AC I am out and in 9th place.
I was still thrilled!
