Something new?

Didn't know where to put this, so let's throw it in under Chat.

Way back when in the beginning time, amongst the first games sites I registered and played at were TrueMoneyGames and a, more or less, exact copy of it called PlayMoneyWorld. PMW had a few tournaments with real money prizes, but the money was put in your account at TMG. When they quit holding those tournaments . Blah Blah Blah ... etc. Make a long story shorter ... Well, haven't played at PMW in ages, had in fact uninstalled it.

Just got email that they had closed PMW and were starting something new. So, if anyone is interested, and this is strictly a transfer of information and in no way a recommendation, there is a brand new gameing site on the airways... Xciting Games. I just got the mail today, and just now installed and had a look.

Both backgammon and poker. If you have ever played at TrueMoneyGames, the interface is very similar in many ways. Time is GMT; Monetary unit used appears to be Euro, don't know if you can change it. Right now there is almost nobody there (31 online). 5 playing at a hold'em table and 15 in a backgammon tournament.
No poker tournaments listed at the moment.
All backgammon tournaments listed are freerolls (10 Euro added) starting every two hours.

So what's their gimmick? Well, apparently they have the usual FPP (frequent player points), and you also can earn SPP ... you ready? ... Sexy player points.
My tired old computer is not the best for streaming video, but .. in the top right corner of the poker table window, there is a pic of a pretty girl. It seems that when you have earned enough SPP you get a private visit from the hostess. I have absolutely no idea what that means ... but that's what it says on their web site.

Now you know as much about it as I do ... Caveat Emptor?

I've registred for a backgammon freeroll starting in half hour ...
we shall see ...

I'll check it out!!  I like backgammon, have played the game for over 30 yrs. now.  Have you ever played the Acey Duecy version of it?  Can't never find that version of it on the internet tho.  I joined a couple backgammon sites, but have never found one that offered freeroll tournaments yet.  I did make a suggestion to one of the sites to do that tho and they said they would consider it.  I have not gone back to check tho.

So, thanks for the info on this one!
Maybe I'll cya there and get a chance to play you.

I've also been playing world-class mediocre backgammon for many years!
note the spelling in the addy

www.xcitinggames.com

you'll also find backgammon freerolls at truemoneygames. that site had to have been the best going when it first started; very many, very big freerolls and other offers. now nearly all of the 'added prize' tournaments have become 'garanteed prize'. they still have freerolls but smaller ($10, i think) an awful lot of work to win $4 ...

chatted with online help at xciting games and they say they wil be adding poker tournaments next week. (they have only been open since aug 17)
