Alright so at some point lastnight while I was fast asleep here on the East Coast - Day 1A of the WSOP wrapped up with 800 lasting until the 2nd day out of the 2,000+ that kicked off the first day of the biggest main event in history.
Some notable players made it through to the second day including Juha Helppi, Danny Masterson from That 70s Show and the voice of professional poker Mike Sexton.
In the meanwhile some of the major names to have been knocked out of the 1st day of the main event include Gus Hansen, Laura Prepon and possibly the biggest disappointment - Clonie Gowen. I mean let's face it with ESPN running the main event for the next year on an endless loop getting a chance to watch as much of Clonie would have been a welcome distraction.
There was a lot more that happened on Day 1A but that's all I really feel like talking about right now - a fuller update is on my site - but I'll update on Day 2 later on today.
