So I'm playing in the $50 Guaranteed @ Naked Poker that starts at 10:30 AM EST. The tournament started with 14 - and the hand in question happened when we're down to 5.
I'm third in chips (w/ three places paying) - and I did the biggest no-no that I can think of. I got involved in a hand with the big stack.
I have AQ suited - with 5 players left. So I raise from UTG and the big stack reraises me. He had been doing this frequently so I push all -in and he calls. He turns over KK.
His K's hold up and that sunk me as I was knocked out in 5th spot.
This really isn't a vent because I shot myself in the foot but don't you hate when that happens, heh. I would've made the same play again because I know some people would hold on to win anything but to me - with 5 players left there is a good chance that AQ is the best hand preflop. I mean he could've had A10 (a hand I beat him off earlier in the tournament) - or A-x or a small pocket pair so I thought I had a good chance.
Not to mention that after the flop the board had 2 hearts and no card above 8 so who knows what would have happened after the flop.
Anyways I'm not that bent out of shape about it - just figured I'd write it down because I feel like thats just a tough way to go down the toilet in a tournament.
