When I play a rebuy I plan only one rebuy and the add on. I will only rebuy if it was truly a bad beat...

I was just in a rebuy - I'm not making donations - I stick to that plan

Yeah witchywitchy, it is good to have a plan!  :D

I don't care much for rebuys in a freeroll.  If it's a freeroll, then it should be all free for all players.  I also don't think it's fair for those that enter in a freeroll maybe because they have no money in that site and others that  do can keep rebuying and force the ones that don't out of the game.
Even if I have money in the site, I more than likely won't rebuy in a freeroll, unless maybe I'm really having fun with a real good group at my table and want to stay in and enjoy playing the game a bit longer, just because of them.

Now rebuys in a buyin are a bit different, I don't mind those, except when I don't have the money for it.    Like witchywitchy, one rebuy and one addon is enough I think, depending on the cost and what my stack is like, compared to others.

Good topic terrpuss!

When I do play in rebuys the smaller $ tournys seems like alot of all ins going on all the time. I try to wait for the good hands and seldom call all in preflop so I can make it to the break. I won't rebuy or add on did it once and didn't win anything so I quit doing it.. If you can build up your chips before the break, The players that made alot of rebuys usually start getting knocked out it seems.

I have played in several of them and have actualy  won a couple of them. The biggest thing is to play in the ones you can afford, and go in with enough money to rebuy a few times. I usually play in the $5 ones and set my limit at $30. This way you have a small amount that you know you could lose, but the payout if you win will be well worth it.  I invested $25 in a $5 buyin and won $580 for 1st place.... I heard all the usual "what a donkey" "keep re-buying you FISH"... blah blah... I did exactly what I wanted to do and stayed within my budget for the game and came out on top.

Rebuys require the RIGHT attitude.... have it and play your game and you will come out on top!

Just my little opinion.  :)
