Phil Ivey was knocked out in his own game
« on: May 26, 2010, 08:35:50 AM »
In what sounds like a case of poker player on poker player crime, Phil Ivey was knocked out in his own high-stakes poker room at the Aria Resort & Casino at CityCenter on Saturday night. As part of the inauguration of this new room dedicated in Ivey’s honor, the Aria held a $1 million freeroll which included both a bounty tournament that offered $100,000 for knocking out the host and a heads-up battle with Ivey himself immediately following.

Yep.  Chino Rheem knocked Ivey out for a $100K bounty, but Ivey redeemed himself in the heads-up match and beat challenger Larry Litton.
