I've never played a shoot out with that many people, but it looks like the money is cumulative.
Top three players from each table (there would be 20 if there were 2000 players win money, just for advancking:
1st 4.25
2nd 2.55
3rd 1.70
Then top three of each table remaining (6 tables) advance with each place receiving:
1st 7.65
2nd 4.59
3rd 3.06
Now, depending on how you got to the second round you received a different payout. Then, when you got knocked out in that round decided what 'place' you got in the tournament.
So, if you went into the 2nd round first at your table, you won 4.25, but got knocked out of the 2nd round first, you'd have a winning of 4.25.
Now, the player that got knocked out 3 players later (15th) came in form the first round in third place at his table only won 1.70. So, he won less even though he placed higher in the tourney.
Capiche?
