I'm interested to see if AP is going to do anything about people who now have two AP accounts, which I would have to assume is something they don't normally permit; i.e. you're not supposed to create two accounts.  There must be thousands of people who have two now that their VP accounts have been converted.

I was having some issues a few days ago with my display image and have been going back and forth with a/p tech support trying to get it resolved. I just got an email saying they got everything reset and I could now reload my image but they had found (while researching this problem)I had 2 accounts and informed me that one of them (the one with the other halfs e-mail which was for VP247) had been closed and the balance of the account was being processed for payment. So if you still have money in that account I would recommend contacting customer service and let them know you have 2 accts. due to this merger and see how you can merge the 2 or just have them close one acct. It seems that would be better than the possibility of getting both closed, forfeiting any money in the accounts, and having your IP blocked for violating their rules.
I'm not really sure if they would do that but I am already starting to hear the "HORROR STORIES" from other ppl and this is alledgedly what has already happened according to a member of another forum.
But you know the saying about taking it with a grain of salt.

I am sure this is going to be problems. Affiliates like me were told both accounts can be used that there was no need in closing or join both accounts into one. Now that several poker forums build up a good player base at Vegas poker and Absolute poker the easiest way for them to save money is closing one of the players accounts and saving the money they were paying to the affiliates. Now that the merge of the two sites is completed and players have had problems like above we are seeing they want the player to close one of the accounts.

:D I just went to Vegas 247 and had to do an upgrade!
(I wanted to check my funds before I did anything.)
On the upgrade, it changed everything to Absolute. So...no problems for me.

Unless you already had an Absolute account... now you have 2 accounts

I had the opposite result.. I wanted to close my Vegas account and transfer everything over to Absolute. The only way I was told that could be accomplished was by calling in and speaking to support... that merging the two accounts into one could only be handled that way

So.. like with most poker sites... it depends upon who you talk to in support

BTW - after one hour ... calling... placed on hold... getting disconnected... finally talking to a support person... getting disconnected........ think you get the picture ----- accounts still not consolidated

Understand where you are coming from, have 2 accounts at AP BUT only 1 has any money in it.  So guess which one I use?

Well I had money in both what a pain it was. Tried to withdraw using epassporte and get an error. Your epassporte account is already in use here with another players account. After 2 hours trying to get it fixed I had to get my affiliate rep to transfer all funds into one account. After the tranfer was done I get an email from AP saying the account I just moved all the money out of was just rewarded $10 free.

I'd guess that the account you just emptied was one you hadn't played for a while except for freerolls.  I've seen that before on AP, where they give you $10 that you have to play within a week or two or they take it back.  I'd guess they're running this promo again and your former VP account qualified.  Seems like an example of the confusion that will continue to occur unless they fully consolidate the accounts.   That might not be so easy though.  For instance, what should they do if someone's AP account and former VP account are with different affiliates?
