Last night I played in a 00.25/00.50 ring game, on the third dealt hand had K-Q, flop was Q-Q-5, ended up going allin won $30. What I'm wanting to know, is it better to play in ring games or sit n go's to increase my bankroll?

Ring games are the way for me much more money to be won. Most forum members are low limit players so if they are playing $5 sit n go's the pays out are $25, 15 ,10 on most sites. An average sit n go can last 45 minutes. Even a tight player on a 25/50 cent limit table should be able to pull down 10-20 hands in 45 minutes. The average pot should be around $3 on a 25/50 table. So even if every pot was the min. $3 and you are only pulling 10 pots your at $30 for the same 45 minutes of game time.

I have made almost all my money from ring games.
when I get comfortable at a level then I start playing more tables at a time.
This seemed to work a lot better for me, than moving up against better players.

As with many poker questions, the answer is that it depends.  Basically, if the goal is to maximize your winnings, that a matter of finding the sweet spot where your EV is highest.  This involves a combination of considerations including but not limited to what types of game, what stakes, how many tables, and on what site.

There's no single answer, which is why, for example, there are successful pros who specialize in MTTs, SNGs, ring games, various forms of poker, heads-up, etc., etc.
