someone please tell me its normal

i havent done well in a tourney for over a month, bad beat after bad beat!  is this a spell?  should i stop playing for a while?

I would say it's normal.  I myself haven't been doing to well the past few weeks.  Until today, I placed 2nd in one game and 7th in another, won $10 for each.  So, hang in there and don't give up, your cards will change.

The time span depends on the number tournies you play, the size of the tournies ,  the number of tourniess at the same and the quality of the players.  Phil Hellmuth (I use him only because I know the stat) played over 900 tournies to win nine.

:) Hey PKR.

That's not too long a dry spell.   I concur with the other two posts above.
I could add that if you are aware of your mistakes, and, learning from them, then I'm sure your game will turn around for the better.  Also, you could/should read a good poker book or two.  You'd be surprised how much one can pick up from any poker book.  I wish you the best, hope your luck does turn around.   :)
