So I'm playing a cash game today - I get AQ spades on a table with only 4 people so I raise and get one caller. The flop comes
10 Q 5
The player before me makes a 1/2 pot sized bet and I reraise him, he goes all in and I call. He turns over 89 suited.
The turn card is a J - and I'm done unless a K comes on the river which is does not and I'm busted.
I am a bit shocked by this play - I mean if this were a tournament I could almost justify it because the name of the game is building a chip stack but we were playing in a cash game. Would you really put your entire chip stack on the line in a cash game with a dream of catching one card that could help you?
I mean without a J that guy basically was saying - I'm willing to lose all my money on the wet dream that one of my four outs hits. Either that or he thought that my preflop and post flop raises were just bluffs?
I'm still a bit stunned so I throw it out there, would you have been willing to lose your money on a draw?
