my first post and i hope my last bad beat

One of the most frustrating think when i play freeroll is that even if I play my best Poker(not the best poker,my best :D ) there is always a bad player that call we with nothing and hit an incredible lucky hand. this one knocked me out from chiplead to less than 2 blind after 3 hours of play
I was holding ATs MD and raised 10000 about  4xblind(1200/2400) and get called the button and the big blind the flop K5J all spade.
I raised 20000, the buton called and the blind raised. I just called hoping that the buton call and he did. the turn was a 7s I went All in and was called by the buton, the big blind folded(i think he had 2pair).the showdown
ATs(97.7%) vs 98s(2.3%) :D . the river was the 6s the only card making a straightflush(56789s) . that was my best/worst memorable bad beat. I really hope that it will be the last

Alot of players like those suited connectors... depending on how many people were left total... I would probably have played them too. ( I know one player here that LOVES them   ) Once the flop hit.. he had a decent flush with only 3 cards to beat him, and a str8 flush draw...

Real tough beat for you, but I dont think he played it badly either.

I don't think he played it well too.
preflop I raise and he called me with 78s in a short handed play(4players max: me,him and may be the blinds)(over optimistic 25% chance of wining). it's not a very bad move but at this stage of the tourney why risking his chance on being paid in a draw?
his play in the flop is pretty good. when the fourth spade felt with two players
who raised in the flop and a raise all-in in the turn he must normally fold
(I raised before the flop,on the flop and on the turn : he must think that i was holding top pair or over pair and catched a flush in the river.the BB raised in the flop in spite of the spades.he could have a higher flush,a set or an overpair with flush draw).
