Whats your favorite pocket cards.
« on: March 31, 2006, 03:02:30 PM »
What’s your favorite hole cards? I’m not talking AA, KK, AK or pairs etc. I’m talking about pocket cards that you would stay with. Your in a NL game and the pre-flop beat is $5.00 and you have your favorite cards. So what are they? I have two favorites, first 5,10 os, (or dime stores as we used to call them) and K,5 suited. I don’t know why but I like them and will stay for the flop. Yes, I know it doesn’t play right but what the heck, its gambling.

I like J-T either suilted or not. Also I like A-5, esp. if it is suited. You should try this thread with a vote option since a lot of players do not wnat to exactly give away their game (I do not think it matters that much if you vary your game, but other seem to).

9-7 suited always seems to work for me.  You can can get both the straight draw, flush draw and of course the straight flush draw.  The only problem is that you usually have to see the river to connect one of your posible hands.  When you do connect, $$$$$

I don't know why, but it seems that 88 does good for me more than AA does.  More times than not, a third 8 will come up on the table.  Not only have I noticed it in my hands, but also in other players hands.  I don't know if I would consider this my favorite, but I just thought I'd mention it anyways.  :D

Interesting post TN

I think I once read that Daniel Negraneaus favorite pocket hand is 10 5 os - he said you can make a flush with two hands.

When I'm playing any suited connectors or suited one off connectors always kill me because I'll play them and almost always lose with em, heh.
