The thing about chasing based upon implied odds is that most good players will fold when flush or straight card comes.  There is a lot to consider with stack sizes etc.  Adding a semi-bluff as part of your arsenal will help.

The time to chase is when you have a hand which will win more than one way.  If you have a possible straight and flush in the same hand headed by some high cards.  They are definitely worth chasing if you have the outs.

I was hoping opponent had good hand so I could win big pot, but he caught a higher boat on the river to my 5th street full house.
