When do you think it is a good strategy to show your hole cards?
-
never why give up the info

never why give up the info
Unless you want to put someone on tilt

I don't really see it as a bad thing to show now and again when you have a monster, it can work in your favour to give the others the idea that if your in a hand then you have a big hand.
i never agree with showing a bluff unless your trying to set them up to giving you more action
-
I agree with mostly with tinheads showing monster hands.
By more action you mean you will use it for deception?
-
I like showing my bluffs sometimes because you can get people thinking your bluffing alot and the call or raise when you have monster hands. but I rarely give out my hands with being paid off. My motto usually pay to see my cards.
-
I very rarely show my cards. I think it's best to keep 'em guessing.
-
i think it depends on your place in the tourny and ur chip stack,if you have a chip lead then yeah, use it to bully people but beware of the stalkrs lol...cobbie

yeah I think it gives info on your play.

My policy is: NEVER!!!! For the minimal satisfaction or good you will get from showing a hand (good or otherwise), you most likely will cheese off more players.
-
I think it depends on the table you are playing. Extremely loose or super tight tables, you might need to show a few hands to establish an image at the table. Showing a large hand at a loose table or showing unopposed trash at a super tight table will help you to gain an advantage by giving you a bit more respect on your next raise.
-
never is the best way. anytime you show you give out information to the whole table. someone like me will put it in your player notes forever.
-
If someone starts going on a losing streak and then i bluff a hand against them, sometimes i will show it. If they are near the edge of tilt it will usually push them off.
-
I show big hands and bluffs now and then. That way they can never tell if i'm bluffing or not.Always good to messed with someones head.I do it mostly on UltimateBet (http://banners.chipleader.com/banners/redirect.php?id=13&cmpgn_id=12627&prdct_id=1&cat_cd=UB) lol.You can really put someone on tilt doing that...
-
I will go with.... almost never.
If you are a player that have a great skill on playing with different strategies everyday, sometimes loose, some more conservative... then you can show sometimes as people who take notes on you wont have it easy on finding a betting pattern.
If you are a player that most times use the same strategy NEVER show your cards.
-
good strategy munky...
Being tight is the poker secret of all times...
lol...
Hope to see you around...
-
You will never see a tight player ever win BIG tournaments. Usually aggressive/semi-aggressive players fare much better.

Only on a rare situation where I am trying to through some on tilt or get under their skin will I show my bluff. If you start show a lot of bluffs you will turn people in to calling stations and you really don't want that. I just leave the auto muck on myself if I get a hand I want to show like quads or something I just click it off real quick.
-
only with monster hand like full house or more !!!
sometimes with a great bluff like 2-7 lol
-
Hey 'munkie'. Sounds to me like we're both saying the same thing!!!!!!!
