Some things that I would like to read
« Reply #1 on: October 15, 2005, 06:33:29 PM »
How to put our fist through the computer and hit a moron poker player.
If that is not possible, then I would like you to write some articles on how to calculate odds (simplified)
Also betting strategy's would be very helpful, how to play a bluff, what should be slow played and when you should fold a hand.
An article on the first one on how to would be very much appreciated, geez figure a way how to do that and you can sell it and make lots of money!

It would be nice if you could figure out how to go through the screen and yell at the other person.  I had lost with A K bet preflop and someone call with a 2 6 suited there was no chance of them to get a flush and I had 2 prs by the turn.  I had put a sizeable amount (for me and the table 5 10 nl) The other player gets their third 2 on the river.
I know a lot of you players have been giving me some great tips.  One of them being the low limit tables sometimes anything goes.  I will have to grin and bare it.  It just seems that I always lose to these players that play hands like that.  Then all the other players always takes their money..
I was watching at a poker site the 100 200 limit tables.  I could not believe how poorly this player played.  They lost over the day easily 8-10 thousand dollars.  I guess there are players that do not play very well at all levels.

BMC, I posted a simplified odds chart in "poker tips", you can print it out and have it next to you when you play. The only thing you need to keep in mind is what the pot is versus your odds to hit your cards.

and BTW.... I dont think you really need an odds chart... YOU PLAY DAMN GOOD POKER !!!!!  8)

I would like to see a site by siter comparison as to what constitutes a raked hands for clearing bonuses. I know that this varies widely from site to site. I am aware of some of them but a comprehensive guide would be very helpful.

How about some stuff about some other casino games 2 such as pai gow, pineapple etc. dont see much about that stuff anywhere. Make your site unique i think.

I appreciated the odds Don a lot, thanks for the compliment.
Thanks holdem for the article, I know we should always encourage a player that doesn't play well.  I have never been rude to a player ever.
I have wanted to go through the screen and strangle a few.
At the time I wrote that I saw a player take not only money from me, but from three other players.  The hands they were playing and the hands that they were staying in was just unbelievable.  It just seemed everybody was getting rivered that day.  So maybe I should have posted in the rant section.  Thank you for the advice.  I will try and keep this in mind when I lose to hands like that.
 :)  :)
Thanks again guys!!

fubarcdn an excellent suggestion.

I would also like a comprehenisve list of freroll winnings - that is when it is cashable, when one has to play a number of raked hands to obtain the money, and when it is something else.  I won some money at Poker.com and cleared it fairly quickly,  others want a deposit and hundreds of raked hands.

Just click the tournament schedule on the side of the page and select freeroll as your buy in amount. To find the freerolls. The raked hand info we will work on.

One of the best I've seen is Cherry Casino. Played in a freeroll there, came in 2nd for a nice $30. 4 days later it was in my bank. No deposit, no raked hands, no fees, just a quick bank transfer to empty the account . Great place if you ask me.
